Embiid For The Stars

A while ago, Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) tried his luck to woo singing superstar Rihanna off her feet. Unfortunately, she wasn’t impressed by The Process and said he should come back when he is an All Star. All jokes and laughs were on Embiid as he seemed to be aiming too high for the stars. But that all changed in the early hours of 19 January 2017 (Central African Time).

The announcement of the All-Star starters had left many shocked as the same man who got rejected by Rihanna would finally be an All Star…no that’s not enough. Joel Embiid is a starter! And to put the cherry on top of the cake, The Process is a first time All Star and the first 76ers All Star since 2012 (Last 76er All Star was Andre Iguodala). So, it must have been quite the celebration for The Process and the city of Philadelphia to finally have an All Star.
For Embiid to have been selected to be a starter is quite a big accomplishment for him considering he got more votes than Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and Kevin Love who have all been performing exceptionally. It’s not upsetting that The Process got more votes but it just shows that his performances has convinced many voters that he’s a better Frontcourt than the ones mentioned above and that it’s time to see The Process in an All-Star game.

In all honesty, Joel Embiid does deserve to be starting for the All-Star Game considering that he is the main factor of the resurgence of the 76ers this season, we’ve never seen the 76ers look and play so good that we’ve all must have forgotten about their tanking of games just to get first round draft picks. But on the defense of the 76ers, their whole tanking is what resulted to it being called “The Process” and along the way they acquired Joel Embiid, The Process himself so the 76ers did themselves a favour in scoring a big man who can shoot at the three-point line, lockdown the paint and handle the ball almost like a guard. Sure, there are other Frontcourt players who play like Embiid but no other player has the charisma and charm of The Process.
It’s only right to congratulate Joel Embiid on being a first time All Star and a starter for the new format All Star Game and that he MIGHT stand a chance at wooing Rihanna. Yet it’s also important to wonder which team will The Process play for? Team LeBron or Team Steph? So it’s only right to make a prediction…
JOEL EMBIID WILL PLAY FOR
